Harold “Spider” Draves wasn’t just the founder of Spiderworks Fireworks—he was the heart and soul behind it. Born and raised in Mishawaka, Spider believed that fireworks were more than just entertainment—they were about joy, community, and creating memories with the people we love.

From the moment he opened the doors in 1988, Spider’s energy and enthusiasm lit up more than just the sky. He treated every customer like family and made sure everyone—young or old—left with a smile and something to look forward to on the 4th of July. His love for fireworks was only matched by his love for people.

Even though Spider has passed on, his spirit still burns brightly in every spark, every crackle, and every burst of color we send into the sky. His legacy lives on in the community he helped shape, and in the traditions that continue today thanks to his vision and heart.
